The ACA joins you to help victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma
The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has a non-profit organization that is its own entity that is sponsoring their Hurricane Irma Relief Fund. The Corrections Foundation is a nationally recognized support group for all of their staff at the FDC. They will ensure every dollar collected goes to their impacted staff. Chris Akins is the Executive Director and either he or Samuel Culpepper at FDC would be great sources if you need additional information regarding Florida FDC’s relief efforts. Chris can be reached at Christopher.Akins@fdc.myflorida.com and Samuel Culpepper can be reached at Samuel.Culpepper@fdc.myflorida.com. In addition, The FDC has established a Hurricane Irma Relief Fund thru the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation (CPOF). Click here for donations thru CPOF: https://fs19.formsite.com/cposhanna/hi-sb/index.html.
Our friends in Florida have indicated that they appreciate your support as they continue to dig out and try to rebuild many homes and infrastructures in the aftermath of Irma.
Staff at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), like many others across this great state, are dealing with the damage left behind by Hurricane Harvey. Many live and work in areas that suffered significant damage. Sensing a need, there has been an outpouring of support from individuals and organizations across the country wanting to help. Several have set up funds to help TDCJ and probation employees impacted by the storm. Those that would like to make a monetary donation to assist these employees can go to http://txcorrections.org/ and the donation fund is on the homepage and states Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.
Or, TDCJ is also working with CPOF for donations and if you would like to make a monetary donation to Texas thru CPOF, you can go to www.cpof.org and click on the Hurricane Harvey Donate drop box in the middle of the home page. If you would like to donate other items please contact Britteny Skains with the office of Bryan Collier, Executive Director of TDCJ, at firstname.lastname@example.org
The staff and families of TDCJ appreciate your thoughts and well wishes during this challenging time.
