The Associate Medical Director will be responsible for supervising and coordinating exceptional treatment for all inmates. The new physician will supervise the clinical services provided by the professional staff. Finally, the new Associate Medical Director will provide solid leadership and direction for the entire medical staff and promote the image of Taycheedah Correctional Institution and the Department's Women's Correctional System.
The facility is located on a campus-like setting and offers X-ray with PACS, digital EKG, ultra sound and physical therapy. On-site blood draws are sent to ACL Laboratories in Milwaukee for processing on a daily basis. An infirmary is scheduled to be built on the grounds of Taycheedah this fall. The practice utilizes the talents of two Nurse Practitioners and full complement of support staff. On-site specialties include Psychiatry, Optometry, and Dental. In addition, a clinical nurse specialist is on-site for education staff and will work closely with the Associate Medical Director.
