ACA consultant auditors are experienced correctional professionals who are approved by the Director of Standards and Accreditation. The average auditor has worked in corrections for more than 18 years with experience supervising and evaluating the type of programs being reviewed for accreditation. Auditors are also utilized for field consultation, re-audits and monitoring visits to accredited or certified programs.

How to Become an Auditor

To be considered for approval as an ACA auditor, you must:

 Submit a resume showing five years’ experience in corrections.
 Be a current member of ACA.
 Submit a letter of recommendation from the Director/CEO of your agency.
