The Nevada DCFS is recruiting for an Assistant Superintendent for Summit View Youth Center, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The incumbent coordinates supervision and training of direct care staff; acts as a liaison between the facility and service providers/community partners; prepares reports; assesses training needs of staff through review of performance evaluations and supervision; assist Superintendent in planning and developing the facility's budget, internal policy/procedure and the implementation of state and federal statutes and regulations; and provides recommendations regarding hiring, promotion, demotion or termination of program staff.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, sociology, counseling and guidance, human services, social services, education, criminal justice, business management or closely related field and two years of supervisory experience in directing and supervising staff involved in the custody, treatment, counseling, education and rehabilitation of incarcerated individuals in a correctional facility; OR graduation from high-school or equivalent education and four years of experience as described above; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
