New guidelines on the Prevention and Control of Tuberculosis in Correctional and Detention Facilities should be released some time this year - probably around June (but no definite date). An announcement will go out and they will be posted on our website at www.cdc.gov/tb under "Guidelines".
NATIONAL NURSES WEEK, 2006
ACA wants to salute nurses acrosss the country and throughout the world. Of course, giving thanks, recognition, and acknowledgement is only part of celebrating National Nurses Week every year. Another equally important reason is to remind the public of nursing's contribution to the health and well-being of the patient.and their families...At over 2.9 million strong, we are the largest group of health care professionals in America...

A time for reflecting - and looking ahead, together. There is no better career, as far as I am concerned..Celebrate, call another nurse wish her/him a great nurses week and thank them for being a nurse. We always will face challenges, but lets remember the rewards and joys that go along with being a nurse.

" Speaking Out and Standing Up for Corrections" was the theme that set the spirit for the attendees..who packed the workshops and sessions.
