Page Title: Winter Conference 2007

  • Tampa Conference Information

  • Beat the Cold Winter Blues While Attending ACA's 2007 Winter Conference in Sunny Tampa!

A medium-sized city on Florida 's Gulf Coast, there's a lot more to Tampa than meets the eye. Thanks to its beautiful natural setting, the region offers a wonderful array of outdoor activities, including camping, fishing, boating, swimming and snorkeling. If you're looking for a warm and sunny atmosphere to make your sales connections, then make Tampa the place to escape the cold this winter in January 2007.

Be sure to join thousands of corrections professionals at the American Correctional Association's 2007 Winter Conference, January 19-24, at the Tampa Convention Center, and enjoy a wealth of sights and attractions in this ever-growing metropolis.

Tampa has everything to offer visitors of all ages. The area has seen the addition of a world-class museum dedicated to the work of surrealists painter Salvador Dali. The Tampa Museum of Art boasts its own art collection from around the world - nearly 7,000 objects fill the many galleries.

In addition to cultural and educational offerings, Tampa boasts quite a nightlife with many restaurants and nightclubs to choose from. The Ybor District is Tampa's own Little Havana, as the wrought iron gates and cobblestone streets lend a certain charm to the area.

Animal lovers will be fascinated as they will discover animals in abundance, including the sharks and rays at the $84 million Florida Aquarium, a dazzling landmark in Tampa which has begun to draw a large turnout of visitors in the city. No visit to Tampa, however, would be complete without a visit to Busch Gardens, where you can ride across re-created African plains in a safari truck, stopping to hand-feed roaming giraffes. Also be sure to visit the amusement park and zoo built by the famous beer brewery.

Tampa promises attendees of the 2007 Winter Conference a bright and sunny atmosphere as they participate in the many social events, including a "Party by the Bay" on Sunday evening, the Monday Night Reception, the Tuesday Morning Specialty Break and the crowd-pleasing Grand Prize Giveaway Game held in the Exhibit Hall. These exciting events allow all attendees and exhibitors to meet and socialize, as attendees search for the most up-to-date products and services available that will assist them in reaching their career goals. So, don't miss out on the excitement in beautiful Tampa, Florida.
