Course Length and Student Time Commitment
Designed for the working corrections' professional, the Academy provides each student with easy-to-follow and convenient courses. A student can expect to spend 10-20 hours per week on completing course requirements and studying. However, your completion time will be based on your prior learning and familiarity with a computer. (Note: You will have up to a year from the time of purchase to complete your course(s).

Basic Correctional Officer Series NEW!
Correctional officers are the key to a well-run correctional facility. They supervise offenders 24 hours-a-day, seven days a week to ensure the safety of offenders, staff, and the public. These courses are designed for individuals who have recently entered the correctional workforce and need a basic understanding of the key duties of correctional officers who work in jails or prisons on the federal, state, and county levels. Each course has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for in-service training hours.
Each of these courses cost $39.95 for ACA members and $49.95 for nonmembers.

Ethics in Corrections Series
This series of courses is designed for correctional officers who work in jails and prisons on the federal, state and county level. The principles are applicable to juvenile careworkers who work in juvenile detention facilities and juvenile correctional facilities (training schools) at the state and county level. The courses are applicable to both adult and juvenile correctional supervisors who want a basic review of the subject. These courses cost $39.95 for ACA members and $49.95 for nonmembers.

Correctional Supervision Series
This series of courses is designed for newly appointed correctional supervisors who work in jails and prisons on the federal, state and county level. The principles are applicable to newly appointed juvenile correctional supervisors who work in juvenile detention facilities and juvenile correctional facilities (training schools) at the state and county level. The courses are applicable to both adult and juvenile veteran correctional supervisors who want a basic review of the subject. These courses cost $49.95 for ACA members and $59.95 for nonmembers.

Issues with Medical and Mental Health in Corrections Series
This series of courses addresses the issues involved in supervising offenders with medical and/or mental illness. The courses are designed for correctional officers who work in jails and prisons on the federal, state, and county levels. The courses are applicable to correctional supervisors and managers who want a basic review of the subject. Each of these courses cost $49.95 for ACA members and $59.95 for nonmembers.
Supervising Women Offenders in Correctional Institutions Series
This series of courses is designed for correctional officers who work in jails and prisons on the federal, state and county level. The courses are applicable to correctional supervisors and managers who want a basic review of the subject. Each of these courses cost $39.95 for ACA members and $49.95 for nonmembers.

Security in Corrections Series
This series of courses is designed for correctional officers who work in jails and prisons on the federal, state and county level. The courses are designed to help correctional officers learn how to carry out their basic security duties on a daily basis. These duties are required to ensure the safety of staff and offenders, as well as the public, and to create a positive environment that is conducive to providing programs and services.
