Auditors

 ACA consultant auditors are experienced correctional professionals who are approved by the Director of Standards and Accreditation. The average auditor has worked in corrections for more than 18 years with experience supervising and evaluating the type of programs being reviewed for accreditation. Auditors are also utilized for field consultation, re-audits and monitoring visits to accredited or certified programs.

How to Become an Auditor

To be considered for approval as an ACA auditor, you must:

 Be a current member of ACA.
 Have a minimum of five years of corrections experience.
 Worked at an accredited facility/agency.
 Successfully complete new auditor training.
 Complete the Manual of Accreditation Policy and Procedure.
