Job Description:

Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking a Facility Director for the Elbert Shaw Youth Detention Center. A Facility Director oversees the operation and administration functions of a correctional institution or unit through leadership of subordinate managers and institutional staff.  In addition, the Director develops and implements appropriate security and facility policies and procedures. The salary range for this position is $71,000-75,000.00. The position requires four (4) years of directly related experience in the criminal justice or correctional system, with two years (2) of management experience OR Six (4) years of supervisory custodial experience in criminal justice or correctional system,  two (2) of which is at a level equivalent to a manager in a law enforcement setting.
