  • When will my membership begin after I apply?

    Membership will begin immediately after we have received your application and payment.

  • When will I receive my new member packet?

    You will receive your membership packet 3-4 weeks from the time your application and payment is processed.

  • How can I pay for my membership dues?

    American Correctional Association accepts checks, money orders and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Diner’s Club)

  • What are the different types of membership?

    Membership types are based upon benefits.  Please browse our Membership Benefits page to find the best level suited for you.

  • If I join ACA, will I also become a member of my state’s Chapter?

    Yes.  When you reside in one of our Dual Membership states, you will automatically become a member at no extra cost.  Please go to our listing of Dual Membership Chapters.

  • How do I find out my membership identification number?

    If you are a new member, your membership id number will be included on your receipt.  You will receive your membership card in approximately 3-4 weeks.  You can also call us at 1-800-222-5646.

  • I did not receive a magazine this month.  What should I do?

    Call us at 1-800-222-5646.

  • I did not receive a confirmation number when I submitted my application.  Did my application go through?

    If you provided credit card information and did not receive a transaction number, your card was not charged.  Be sure to select “credit card” as the payment method or your card will not be charged.
